Passover was established to celebrate God’s historical faithfulness, yet on this sacred night, leaders plotted the slaying of the true Lamb. In an upper room, Christ instituted the Last Supper—giving His disciples a covenant of mercy to remember His sacrifice—even while one sharing His table prepared to betray Him. Today, we sit under that same mercy through God’s Word, church fellowship, and the sacraments. Yet the question remains: have we, too, traded Christ away for the fleeting pleasures of this world?
