So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Bible text: Luke 16:19-31
Speaker: Pastor Jonathan Yap
Morning Service

In Luke 16, the parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus confronts the spiritual dangers of wealth, revealing the undeniable connection between our use of money and our true spiritual state. The rich man's ultimate condemnation stemmed not from his wealth, but from a merciless heart that proved he had never truly tasted God’s saving grace. On the other hand, a heart that has received the Gospel will inevitably overflow with mercy and generosity toward others. Ultimately, we are called to look away from fleeting earthly comforts and self-indulgence, and instead submit to God's Word, repent, and pursue the love of Christ, finding true contentment and everlasting peace in the Saviour who gave Himself for us.
