Sermon Synopsis

This sermon explores how Jesus confronted the hypocrisy of the religious elite who sought to judge Him. Jesus exposed them for testing His intentions of healing on the Sabbath and called out what was truly in their hearts. By illustrating the parable of a great banquet, Jesus taught that the Kingdom of God operates on a radical reversal - those who exalt themselves due to their self-centric religiosity will be humbled, while those who humble themselves and admit their spiritual weakness will be exalted. Ultimately, salvation is not earned by good works or religious status, but is a gift for humble who acknowledge their need for Christ’s mercy.
