So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
— Romans 10:17 (KJV)
In John 9, Jesus heals a blind man, restoring his sight. This miracle invoked polarizing responses from the people of that day. The blind man himself not only received physical sight but spiritual sight as well, as he resolved to obey Jesus and proclaim His name. His parents saw the miracle but kept quiet out of fear of man. Others, like the Pharisees, outright rejected Christ due to their hardened hearts. Which of these responses reflects ours when we witness God's goodness and work in our lives?
