Sermon Synopsis

Truly following Jesus begins with seeing who God is - the Lord with all authority, yet full of love and grace. Our feelings often get in the way of our obedience to Christ, but discipleship means trusting Him in all circumstances. Only when we recognize our deep need for Jesus as sinners, and His love for us, can we joyfully obey Him out of gratitude. Heartfelt service and repentance from sin will then follow. True obedience flows not from strength or willpower, but from a heart that sees Christ rightly and is transformed by His love.
